Introduction: We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our dedicated team at a school in the Lawrence area of Massachusetts. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of students with communication disorders.

Responsibilities: As an SLPA, you will work under the supervision of a licensed speech-language pathologist to provide direct therapy services and assist in the implementation of treatment plans for students. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Administering therapeutic exercises and activities as directed by the supervising SLP.
  • Assisting with assessments, evaluations, and screenings to help develop individualized intervention plans.
  • Monitoring and documenting student progress, behaviors, and responses to therapy sessions.
  • Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other team members to ensure continuity of care and effective communication strategies.
  • Participating in IEP meetings and contributing valuable insights regarding treatment goals and progression.

Qualifications: To be considered for this position, we require:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or related field.
  • Prior experience working as an SLPA in a school setting is highly preferred.
  • Valid and active SLPA license issued by the stat of MA.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Passion for helping students with speech and language challenges achieve their full potential.
