Sunbelt Staffing is currently seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a 12-hour day shift position in Watertown, NY. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced traveler RN to join a dynamic healthcare team. As part of this role, the RN will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in Med/Surg and PCU (Progressive Care Unit), with a focus on Coronary Care.

This role requires a nurse who is comfortable floating between Med/Surg and PCU units, and who possesses a strong foundation in Coronary Care nursing. The ideal candidate will have completed at least one successful traveler assignment and hold a current New York State RN license.

Required Qualifications:
  • Current RN license in New York State (required).
  • Coronary Care experience (essential).
  • Completed at least one successful traveler assignment (first-time travelers will not be considered).
  • Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
  • BLS certification required or must be obtained within 3 months of hire.
  • At least 1-2 years of previous hospital RN experience in Med/Surg or PCU preferred.

  • Ability to prioritize, delegate, and function well under stress.

Overview:

Sunbelt Staffing is currently seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a 12-hour day shift position in Watertown, NY. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced traveler RN to join a dynamic healthcare team. As part of this role, the RN will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in Med/Surg and PCU (Progressive Care Unit), with a focus on Coronary Care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in Med/Surg and PCU units.
  • Monitor, assess, and record patient vital signs, conditions, and responses to treatments.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
  • Coronary Care experience is essentialassist in managing patients with heart-related issues, including heart failure, arrhythmias, and post-operative recovery from coronary procedures.
  • Ability to float between units as required, depending on patient needs and staffing.
  • Provide patient education and emotional support to patients and families, especially in critical or high-stress situations.
  • Respond promptly to patient needs, provide interventions, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize care.
  • Adhere to hospital protocols and safety guidelines, including proper lifting techniques and infection control practices.
  • Maintain thorough and accurate patient records in accordance with hospital standards.
  • May be required to assume duties as charge nurse on occasion.
  • Recognize safety concerns and apply critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills, especially in stressful situations.
