Location: San Antonio, TX Area

Position Overview: Soliant Education is seeking a dedicated and skilled Onsite Special Education Teacher to join our team in the San Antonio, TX area for the 2024-2025 school year. This role will involve providing specialized reading intervention services to high school students with diverse learning needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver targeted reading intervention services to high school students, focusing on improving literacy skills and overall academic performance.
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each students specific needs and learning goals.
  • Design and deliver specialized instructional materials and strategies to support students' reading development.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure that students receive prehensive support.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instructional approaches as needed to meet educational objectives.
  • Participate in IEP meetings, providing insights and remendations for educational strategies and acmodations.
  • Create a positive and engaging learning environment that fosters student growth and confidence in reading.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress, interventions, and IEP documentation.
  • Engage in professional development to stay current with best practices in special education and reading instruction.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education or a related field.
  • Valid Texas teaching certification with general education content area endorsements.
  • Experience in providing reading intervention and working with high school students with special needs.
  • Strong skills in developing and implementing IEPs, designing individualized instructional strategies, and assessing student progress.
  • Excellent munication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and school staff.
