Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team in Desert Hills, AZ. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating individuals with various physical, sensory, and cognitive impairments. This role involves developing and implementing personalized treatment plans to enhance clients' functional abilities and improve their overall quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessment and Evaluation: Perform comprehensive evaluations to assess clients physical, sensory, and cognitive abilities. Identify impairments, functional limitations, and goals for therapy.
  • Treatment Planning: Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment results and client goals. Utilize evidence-based practices to guide therapeutic interventions.
  • Therapeutic Interventions: Provide direct therapy services, including therapeutic exercises, adaptive techniques, and activities aimed at improving motor skills, sensory processing, and cognitive functions.
  • Client and Family Education: Educate clients and their families on adaptive strategies, the use of assistive devices, and techniques to support daily living skills and promote independence.
  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, including physical therapists, speech-language pathologists, and physicians, to ensure a coordinated approach to client care.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
  • Licensure: Valid Arizona state licensure as an Occupational Therapist (or eligibility to obtain licensure).
  • Certification: Certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) preferred.
  • Experience: Experience in a clinical, school, or rehabilitation setting is preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent diagnostic, therapeutic, and interpersonal skills. Ability to build rapport with clients and collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Technology: Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and other relevant technology.
