Job Description

1. Storage: Properly store materials in designated locations within the warehouse or storage area, ensuring accessibility and organization for efficient retrieval.

2. Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records through regular cycle counts, reconcile discrepancies, and update inventory systems as needed.

3. Order Picking and Packing: Fulfill orders by accurately picking required items from inventory, packing them securely, and preparing them for shipment or transfer.

4. Material Handling Equipment Operation: Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently to move materials within the facility.

5. Quality Control: Inspect materials for quality defects, report any issues to appropriate personnel, and ensure only acceptable materials are used in production or shipped to customers.

6. Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including proper handling of hazardous materials, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

7. Collaboration: Work closely with other team members, including warehouse associates, supervisors, and logistics personnel, to coordinate material flow and support operational objectives.

8. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements, efficiency gains, and cost savings within the material handling function, and actively contribute to implementation efforts.

Work Environment

Our company is a commercial printing and packaging company located in Woodland. We have 3 departments - printing, finishing, and die cutting. We employ about 110 individuals on site, with approximately half in manufacturing. We pride ourselves on being environmentally conscious and producing green/recyclable packaging.
