Job DescriptionJob DescriptionResponsible for the assembly of products, mainly consisting of, but not limited to, tractor units, attachments, implements, parts, and accessories for dealer shipments or to satisfy other company requirements. Also may be involved in the teardown and rebuild of tractors.
  • Basic setup and assembly of tractors: Attach all equipment needed per customer request. (Tires, steering wheel, rops, and mowers, etc.)
  • Tear down and repair: Work with the Product Support Supervisor and Representatives to determine what tasks have to be completed. Will advise the Distribution Manager of the time and materials needed to complete the task.
  • Part ordering: Will be trained to order parts online that are needed to finish tractor builds.
  • Mechanical abilities: Must be able to determine problems and figure out solutions. Parts will not always fit correctly and will have to be modified without supervision. The paint will have to be touched up occasionally.
  • Other related duties: Must be forklift certified to move material around in the assembly area. Will be asked to assist in all warehouse duties and responsibilities on occasion when assembly work is slow or when business deems it necessary.
  • Responsible for the cleanliness and organization of the assembly area.
  • Responsible for inventory of tools and reporting loss, damage, or malfunctioning equipment or tools to direct Manager.
  • Responsible to uphold and be aware of safety on the job and in the work area.
Will work closely with the Warehouse Manager and Product Support.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Training in related areas of mechanics and/or assembly is preferred.
  • Some assembly experience is required.
  • Training in overhead hoist equipment will be required annually.
  • Must have forklift experience and be comfortable moving large items around in a warehouse environment.
  • Must have mechanical aptitude and a strong ability to solve problems independently.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs periodically.
  • Ability to sit, stand, and/or kneel throughout the workday.
