Virtual School Psychologist

Location: Remote (Minnesota)
Employment Type: Full-time Work From Home Contract
Pay: $55/Hour

Key Responsibilities

  • Assessment and Evaluation: Conduct virtual assessments and evaluations for students with suspected academic, social, emotional, or behavioral needs. Use appropriate diagnostic tools and virtual methods to evaluate and interpret student data.
  • Individual and Group Counseling: Provide virtual counseling sessions to support students in areas such as social skills, emotional regulation, and stress management. Offer short-term interventions to support students mental health and academic performance.
  • Collaboration and Consultation: Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and school administrators to develop strategies and interventions that enhance students' educational experiences and address barriers to learning.
  • Intervention Development: Design and implement intervention plans for students with diverse needs, utilizing evidence-based practices. Track progress and adjust interventions as needed.
  • Crisis Intervention: Respond to urgent situations, providing immediate support and connecting students and families to community resources when appropriate.
  • IEP and 504 Plan Support: Participate in IEP and 504 meetings, contribute to the development of individualized plans, and support the execution of specific accommodations and modifications.
  • Professional Development and Training: Educate and support staff and families on topics related to mental health, social-emotional learning, and behavioral interventions through virtual workshops and resources.


Qualifications

  • Education: Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program.
  • Licensure: Must hold or be eligible for Minnesota School Psychology licensure.
  • Experience: Prior experience working as a school psychologist, preferably with experience in virtual or telehealth settings.
  • Technical Proficiency: Comfortable with virtual tools and platforms used for teletherapy, assessments, and meetings, with the ability to troubleshoot common technical issues.
