School-Based Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant

Location: Shelton, Washington

Job Type:Full-time Contract Position, 35 hours per week

Assignment Dates: ASAP - May 2025

Are you a passionate and dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) looking to make a meaningful impact in a school setting? We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic COTA to join our team on a contract basis. As a School-Based COTA, you will work directly with students, teachers, and other educational professionals to support the development and implementation of individualized occupational therapy plans that help students achieve their educational goals. Soliant is partnering with a great school district in Shelton, WA to staff a COTA for this school year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide Direct Therapy Services: Deliver individual and group occupational therapy sessions as outlined in students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
  • Collaborate with Educational Team: Work closely with teachers, special education staff, and parents to ensure cohesive support for each students needs.
  • Conduct Assessments: Assist in the assessment process by observing and documenting students' performance and progress.
  • Develop and Implement Therapy Plans: Support the creation and execution of therapy plans tailored to each students unique needs.
  • Monitor and Report Progress: Track student progress and provide regular updates to the educational team and parents.
  • Adapt Classroom Environment: Collaborate with teachers to adapt classroom activities and environments to support students functional needs.


Qualifications:

  • Active Washington COTA license.
  • Prior experience working in a school or pediatric setting is preferred but not required.

  • Elementary caseload
  • petitive hourly rate based on experience and qualifications.
