We are in search of a Sr. Tax Analyst to join our leading mobile technology client in Culver City, California. In this role, you will be tasked with the preparation of income tax provisions, tax estimates, and indirect tax filings, as well as the management of taxability across jurisdictions. This role comes with an excellent benefits package and you will be able to work remotely 3 days per week


Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the preparation of quarterly and year-end income tax provision calculations and footnote disclosures following ASC740 guidance.

• Handle tax return workpapers for federal and state corporate income tax filings.

• Collaborate with external resources in the preparation and review of federal, multi-state, and international tax returns and filings.

• Prepare and file timely quarterly tax estimates.

• Perform quarterly tax account reconciliations.

• Prepare indirect tax filings such as city tax, gross receipts, sales tax, property tax, and collaborate with foreign offices to support foreign indirect filings.

• Evaluate, build, and maintain appropriate documentation for tax positions.

• Monitor nexus and manage taxability across jurisdictions for various lines of business.

• Research tax issues across jurisdictions, assess implications of tax legislative changes and US GAAP and IFRS accounting concepts, and implement tax strategies to minimize cash tax and risk.

• Assist with tax forecasting and cash tax planning.

• Manage R& D tax credit study and other tax incentives projects and filings.

• Collaborate with other groups to obtain accurate and complete information for tax compliance and planning.

• Assist in developing processes to streamline the tax function, aiming for efficiency, automation, and high-quality output.

• Candidate must hold a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the field of corporate taxation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a requirement for handling data analysis and reports.
• Must have the capacity to produce Ad Hoc Reporting for tax-related matters.
• Familiarity with Compliance and Compliance Audit processes is expected.
• A comprehensive understanding of Corporate Income Tax is essential.
• Experience with Corporate Tax Compliance is mandatory.
• Should be capable of managing the Annual Tax Provision.
• Knowledge of ASC 740, including its application and implications, is required.
