Technical Trainer

Responsibilities:
- Perform employee training by providing required GMP, safety, aseptic processing, and other technical training as required.
- Coordinate and conduct training including qualification and re-qualification programs.
- Provide basic and continuous training in aseptic processing to maintain participants’ APA qualification status.
- Assist in design, and development of training courses/programs as requested by management.
- Develop and implement systems for standardizing job specific training.
- Administer and update training materials including entry into the electronic document management system/learning management system.
- Provide APA and other training to contractors, vendors, and customers as directed by management.
- Compile and present relevant training records for review by outside auditors.
- Coordinate and schedule training sessions at all locations to meet the needs of a multi-departmental, multi-shift operation.
- Train incumbent production workers in technical skills at workstations and in the classroom.
- Participate in review and revision of training requirements for various positions and update learning management system.
- Develop and report on departmental metrics.
- Other duties as assigned or required.
Skills & Abilities:
- Strong interpersonal communication skills, public speaking, business etiquette and time management.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Skill in operating various office equipment, such as computer, calculator, facsimile, copy machine, and telephone.
- Skill in time management, prioritization, planning, organizing, and scheduling.
- Microsoft Office Suite, including spreadsheets and experience with databases.
- Knowledge and skill in operating various specialized production equipment, such as sterilizing, filling, and packaging equipment and various measuring devices including scales/balances.
- Ability to communicate with coworkers, management team members, and other individuals in a courteous and professional manner.
- Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction from manager.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and subordinate instructions.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, coworkers, and other individuals.
- Ability to manage time effectively.
- Ability to multi-task.
Required Education, Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in science or education with 2 - 3 years' training/teaching experience. Experience in a regulated manufacturing industry, knowledge of FDA regulations, cGMPs, ISO, and SOPs is preferred. Previous experience with learning management systems is desired.
Typical work schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00AM – 4:30PM with additional hours/days to complete tasks or projects as needed.
