Job Details



Responsibilities:

  • Represent clients in court or before government agencies, presenting evidence to defend or prosecute in civil litigation.
  • Prepare and draft legal documents, such as pleadings, discovery materials, and other litigation-related documents.
  • Conduct research and analysis of legal problems to interpret laws, rulings, and regulations for individuals and businesses.
  • Advise clients concerning business transactions, claim liabilities, advisability of prosecuting or defending lawsuits, or legal rights and obligations.
  • Negotiate settlements of civil disputes in the best interest of the client, demonstrating exceptional negotiation skills.
  • Develop strategies and arguments in preparation for presentation of cases.
  • Gather evidence to formulate defense or to initiate legal actions, by such means as interviewing clients and witnesses to ascertain the facts of a case.
  • Evaluate findings and develop strategies and arguments in preparation for presentation of cases.
  • Monitor regulatory changes within the industry to advise clients accordingly and reduce legal liability.
  • Collaborate with a team of legal professionals to ensure the best representation for clients.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business litigation, with a proven track record of successful litigation.
  • Licensed to practice law in the state, or ability to become licensed to practice law in the state.
  • Exceptional negotiation skills with the ability to resolve disputes favorably for clients.
  • Deep understanding of legal liability and ability to advise clients to minimize risks.
  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to represent clients effectively in court.
  • Proficient in legal research and writing.
  • High ethical standards and professional integrity.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
