Position Overview:
Soliant Education is seeking a dedicated and passionate School Social Worker to join a K-12 school district near Greenwich, CT. This is a full-time, contract position for the 2024-2025 school year, with hours ranging from 35 to 37.5 per week. The ideal candidate must have experience working in schools and be ready to begin immediately.
Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counseling services to students K-12.
- Assess students emotional, behavioral, and social needs, creating tailored intervention plans.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school administrators to support students' mental health and well-being.
- Provide crisis intervention and support during difficult situations or emergencies.
- Lead and facilitate social skills training and other relevant group activities.
- Develop and implement IEPs (Individualized Education Programs) for students requiring additional social-emotional support.
- Offer guidance and resources to families, ensuring a strong home-school connection.
- Maintain confidential records of student progress and ensure pliance with school and district policies.
Requirements:
- Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) required.
- Active School Social Worker certification/license in the state of Connecticut (or ability to obtain).
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a school setting.
- Knowledge of child development, special education, and behavioral health best practices.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with a diverse group of educators, staff, and families.
- Excellent munication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be available to start ASAP and mit through June 2025.
