Hardware Technician

As an Electronics/Hardware Technician, you will:
- Support product development and sustaining engineering activities. This involves test, check-out, modification, fabrication and assembly of electronic products and prototypes.
- Technicians work from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, defined plans to perform testing, checkout and trouble-shooting functions.
- Performs operational test and troubleshooting or fault isolation on systems and equipment.
- Assists in determining methods or actions to remedy malfunctions
- Assists in the design, construction, test and check-out of test equipment
- Uses manufacturing, test, development, or diagnostic equipment, including, but not limited to, test programs oscilloscopes, signal generators, thermal chambers and specialized test apparatus.
- Identifies, researches and implements quality and process improvement ideas in primary work area.
This is a Full time opportunity.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Associates degree, or equivalent knowledge.
- Electronic Technician certification or comparable certification
- 3+ years of related engineering products development lab experience. Less experience will be considered for candidates with recent degrees.
- Proficient using lab test equip- oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power supplies, multimeters, environmental test chambers, etc.
- Soldering/surface mt technology down to component level
- Validation test exp. - include Environmental tests, Electrical Noise tests, Certification tests and Functional tests
- Team player with communication skill to interact with Clients and co-workers
- Familiarity with Python and/or electrical standards (CE, eMark) a plus
Salary: $55,000.00 - $87,000.00 per year
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
