Job DescriptionJob DescriptionJob OverviewThis position is responsible for leading machining operations while also programming CNC machines to produce precision parts according to specifications.
Responsibilities:
- Leadership:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of machining personnel.
- Provide guidance and support to team members to ensure adherence to production schedules and quality standards.
- Train new team members on machining techniques & safety protocols
- CNC Programming:
- Develop CNC programs using AutoCAD, WoodWOP and RouterCIM based on engineering drawings and specifications.
- Optimize programs for efficiency, accuracy, and tool life.
- Troubleshoot and debug programs to ensure smooth machine operation.
- Setup and Operation:
- Set up CNC machines including tooling, fixtures, and workpieces.
- Operate CNC machines to produce parts with tight tolerances.
- Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as necessary to maintain quality and productivity.
- Quality Control:
- Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Implement corrective actions to address deviations from quality standards.
- Document inspection results and maintain quality records.
- Maintenance and Safety:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on CNC machines to keep them in optimal condition.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of safety in the machining area.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to appropriate personnel.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to implement process enhancements.
- Participate in lean manufacturing initiatives and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in CNC machining and programming, preferably in a leadership role.
- Proficiency using AutoCAD, WoodWOP and RouterCIM
- Strong technical skills in machining processes, tooling, and materials.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations in a manufacturing environment.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and adapt to changing priorities.
Pay Details: 32.00 to 35.00 per hour
