Financial Analyst

The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for maintaining and managing the company's accounts payable process. This role requires a deep understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles, thorough attention to detail, analytical thinking, and a strong ability to organize and prioritize tasks.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Process accounts payable transactions, ensuring accurate and timely data entry.
- Review, organize, and maintain invoices, bills, and other financial documents.
- Maintain a list of payables due, prepare checks, wire transfers, and ACH payments.
- Resolve accounts payable issues with internal and external stakeholders.
- Liaise with suppliers and vendors to address queries related to billings and payments.
- Manage monthly closing of financial records and postings.
- Reconcile payable reports each month to confirm that all amounts paid were accurate.
- Maintain vendor files in an organized and updated manner.
- Collaborate with the purchasing and operations departments to ensure accuracy of invoices.
- Perform credit checks on potential suppliers and vendors.
- Adhere to tax laws and regulations in the processing and recording of transactions.
- Prepare financial reports related to accounts payable as required.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field. preferred
- Proven experience as an accounts payable specialist or in a similar role.
- Proficient in accounting software, data entry, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong understanding of accounting and bookkeeping procedures.
- Deep understanding of the accounts payable process.
- Excellent ability in handling and analyzing numerical data.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Understanding of confidentiality obligations and legal regulations in accounting.
