Job Summary:We are seeking a hardworking Laboratory Technician to perform routine analytical and laboratory testing in support of food safety, quality, and operational teams. In this role, you will conduct product testing, monitor instrumentation performance, and document test results. You will collaborate cross-functionally to build and improve food safety, quality, and regulatory culture while ensuring compliance with regulations. Intermediate supervision will be provided as you carry out calibration checks, preventive maintenance, and simple repairs to analytical instrumentation.
Key Responsibilities:Routine Testing: Perform routine quantitative and qualitative inspections and laboratory tests on raw materials, in-process, and final products.Instrumentation Monitoring: Check and monitor instrumentation performance, including running calibration checks and preventive maintenance tasks, as well as performing simple repairs.Data Documentation: Record test results into databases and communicate results to internal customers as needed.Food Safety and Quality Compliance: Ensure adherence to food safety, quality, and regulatory standards by monitoring testing procedures and compliance with regulations.Cross-functional Collaboration: Contribute to the development and improvement of a food safety, quality, and regulatory culture through collaboration with other teams.Clerical and Administrative Support: Handle clerical, administrative, and customer support tasks under general supervision, escalating more complex issues as necessary.Reporting: Interpret and document test results, write routine reports, and correspondence based on testing and operational activities.
Required Qualifications:Ability to conduct routine quantitative and qualitative laboratory tests independently.Knowledge of calibration, preventive maintenance, and repair of analytical instrumentation.Ability to interpret and document test results in active databases.Strong communication skills to relay test results to internal customers.Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedural manuals.Basic technical, clerical, and administrative skills.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience with food safety, quality, and regulatory compliance in a laboratory environment.Prior experience in laboratory testing or food/feed safety is a plus.
