We are seeking a Medical Collections Support Specialist in the healthcare industry, based in Chaska, Minnesota. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity. The primary focus will be on managing accounts for collections, ensuring the accuracy of customer data, and providing backup support to the call team.


Responsibilities:


• Conduct thorough checks and sign affidavits, verifying all information to the best of your abilities before forwarding

• Utilize your experience with self-pay procedures to effectively manage customer accounts

• Provide excellent customer service, acting as a backup to the call team when required

• Leverage your knowledge of the healthcare industry to address customer inquiries effectively

• Ensure accurate records are maintained and updated as necessary.

• Proven experience in medical collections or similar role within the healthcare industry.

• Experience in handling appeals related to medical billing and collections.

• Knowledge of billing functions in a healthcare setting.

• Experience with claim administration and collection processes is beneficial.

• Must have excellent communication and negotiation skills.

• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to ethical conduct.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
