Job description
Partners Personnel is seeking a Medical Collections to work on resolving health insurance claims. This is a contract to hire position fully on site – Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm -$17.00 to 21.00/hour DOE
Job Duties:
- Assist patients regarding their bills, create and implement payment arrangements
- Send monthly statements to patients.
- Handle incoming phone calls regarding patient accounts.
- Process payments, including credit card transactions and setting up payment plans.
- Maintain accurate records of payments and refunds.
- Assist in resolving billing errors and discrepancies.
- Coordinate with collection agencies as necessary.
- Provide regular updates and recommendations to management.
- Complete tasks as assigned by your supervisor/manager.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1 year experience in medical billing
- Health insurance knowledge
- ICD-10 knowledge preferred
- Proficient computer knowledge.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
- Adapt to a fast-paced work environment and shifting priorities.
- Knowledge of state laws related to collections is preferred.
