Building Positive Behavior: Part-Time BCBA Opportunity (Elementary) - Soliant Education (Plainville, CT Area)

Are you a passionate and dedicated Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) seeking a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of elementary school students?

Soliant Education is seeking a qualified part-time BCBA (8 hours/week) to join our team in the friendly Plainville, CT area This in-person position for the 2024-2025 school year offers a unique chance to contribute to a supportive school environment by providing behavior intervention services specifically for elementary school students.

What You'll Do:

  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other professionals to conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) to identify the underlying causes of challenging behaviors exhibited by elementary school students.
  • Develop and implement effective Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) based on positive reinforcement principles, to promote positive and appropriate behaviors in the classroom and school setting.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and support to teachers and staff on behavior management strategies for elementary school learners.
  • Monitor student progress, collect data, and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in behavior analysis for the elementary school age range.

Qualifications:

  • Board Certification as a Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
  • Prior experience working with children in an educational setting, preferably elementary school, is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of child development, behavior analysis principles, and positive reinforcement strategies.
  • Expertise in conducting FBAs, developing BIPs, and implementing effective behavior interventions for elementary school students.
  • Excellent munication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with students, parents, teachers, administrators, and other school staff.
  • Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and reporting.
  • A passion for promoting positive behavior change and advocating for students with diverse needs.
