Job Description

The primary responsibility of the Maintenance Technician is to ensure that preventive maintenance tasks and repairs on automation equipment are performed correctly. You will work on sorters, buffer systems, dematic conveyors, cherry pickers, forklift equipment, shuttles, and other assets. Additionally, you will respond to machine breakdowns, perform facility maintenance (plumbing, electrical, pneumatic, and carpentry repairs), maintain shop equipment in the maintenance department, and use CMMS to enter completion data.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure preventive maintenance tasks and repairs on automation equipment are completed correctly.
  • Work on sorters, buffer systems, dematic conveyors, cherry pickers, forklift equipment, shuttles, and other assets.
  • Respond to machine breakdowns.
  • Perform facility maintenance including plumbing, electrical, pneumatic, and carpentry repairs.
  • Maintain shop equipment in the maintenance department.
  • Use CMMS to enter completion data.
Essential Skills
  • 1-5 years of building and equipment maintenance
  • Knowledge of CMMS.
  • Experience with Lock Out Tag Out procedures.
  • Mechanical, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and pneumatic concepts.
  • Proficiency in using multimeters (voltage), hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, calipers, and gauges.
  • Ability to interpret drawings and blueprints.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • 2 years of experience with conveyors
  • Power distribution and generator experience.
  • Control circuits knowledge.
  • Thermal imaging experience preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft programs.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical, electrical, and plumbing drawings.
  • Experience with electrical testing equipment.

Work Environment

Work in a distribution center with extensive conveyor equipment. The 2nd Shift operates from 3pm-11:30pm, and the 3rd Shift operates from 11pm-7:30am. Current openings are for Level III on the 2nd shift. The facility provides a safe and collaborative environment with game and break rooms available for employee use.
