Exciting Opportunity: Full-Time Pharmacy Technician - Temp-to-Perm - Specialty Pharmacy in Austin, TX

Position Overview:

  • Type: Full-Time, Temp-to-Perm
  • Operating Hours:
    • Monday, Tuesday, & Friday: 9 AM - 5:30 PM
    • Wednesday & Thursday: 9 AM - 8:30 PM
    • Saturday: 9 AM - 1 PM
  • Travel Requirement: Occasional travel to support other pharmacy locations in Austin.

Your Role: As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring our patients receive their medications accurately and on time. Key duties include:

  • Medication Preparation: Count, pour, mix, and package medications with precision.
  • Data Entry: Label containers and accurately enter prescription details into our system.
  • Insurance Verification: Confirm insurance benefits and process payments at the Point of Service (POS).
  • Patient Interaction: Build rapport with patients, case managers, and insurance representatives to foster positive relationships.
  • Delivery Coordination: Manage prescription deliveries and oversee routine reports and correspondence.
  • Problem Solving: Proactively address and resolve issues while upholding our core values.
  • Additional Duties: Complete other tasks as needed.

What Were Looking For:

  • Education: High school diploma or GED required; an Associate's degree in a health-related field is a plus.
  • Experience: At least one year of Pharmacy Technician experience.
  • Certification: Must be registered with the Texas Board of Pharmacy (BOP) and hold State Certification. National certification preferred.
  • Skills: Proficient in English; bilingual in Spanish is an advantage. Strong MS Office skills and experience with pharmacy software are preferred.
  • Attributes: Must have reliable transportation and a positive, flexible attitude.
