Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Full-Time Opportunity

Location: Gurnee, IL

About the Position:
ProCare Therapy is hiring a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide full-time support to a school district in Gurnee, IL. Youll work with high school students across multiple school sites, supporting therapy goals and ensuring student success.

Position Details:

  • Start Date: Immediate
  • Schedule: Full-time
  • Caseload:
    • High school-aged students
    • Approximately 32 students
    • Travel between 3 school sites
  • Duties:
    • Provide therapy support to meet required minutes
    • Assist with additional duties as assigned

Responsibilities:

  • Implement therapy plans under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist
  • Work closely with students to improve their motor and functional skills
  • Collaborate with school staff, teachers, and families to support therapy goals
  • Travel between assigned sites to provide consistent services
  • Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions and progress

Requirements:

  • Active Illinois COTA license
  • Previous experience in a school-based setting is a plus
  • Ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
