Software Developer Job Summary:

Our Software Developer (in-house titled “Business Systems Developer”) will be responsible for supporting all of TriCore’s internal business applications. Working under the guidance of a Sr. Developer, projects will include both developing new systems and enhancing existing systems that will vary in size and scope.

The Business Systems Developer will take a hands-on approach to the full life cycle of projects/programs and reports. The Business Systems Developer collects system requirements from end-users/employees and works with the team to define project scope and set project milestones and deadlines. The Business Systems Developer is also responsible for maintaining quality control and performing unit/system testing of their projects throughout the development process, and providing end-user application training activities and support as needed. In addition to development tasks, the Systems Developer is a primary support contact and resolves support requests submitted by end users (TriCore’s employees).


Software Developer Responsibilities:

  • Works with end-user groups/TriCore’s employees to define new or enhance existing business system software and reports.
  • Coordinates testing and reviews with affected groups before deployment.
  • Develops and updates internal applications and Microsoft SSRS-based reports.
  • Provides end-user support for internal applications and processes via the support ticketing system.
  • Manages small to mid-scale business system development projects.
  • Researches technology options and capabilities, and recommends solution designs, tools, or updates that align with the company’s technology direction.
  • Creates end-user business system support documentation such as user guides, quick reference sheets, and application walkthrough recordings.


Software Developer Required Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of professional experience developing web applications using Angular/C#/.NET Core and Microsoft SQL Server
  • B.S. in Computer Science preferred
  • Professional experience in web application development using Angular, C#, .NET Core, HTML, CSS, Typescript and JavaScript
  • Familiarity with other/older technologies including Visual Basic, VBA, ASP.NET
  • Strong knowledge in Microsoft SQL Server T-SQL including procedure and function development, and query optimization
  • Good familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) reports
  • Basic knowledge of Windows Server relating to configuring IIS-hosted applications and scheduled tasks
  • Understanding of Microsoft Entra (Azure AD) identity services used for authentication within applications
  • Familiarity with code version management repository solutions such as Git
  • High attention to detail and ability to relate actions with potential impacts to systems
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Capability to self-manage tasks according to priorities and due dates when working on simultaneous projects

Software Developer Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related.
  • ​​Familiarity with other/older technologies including Visual Basic, VBA, and ASP.NET.
  • Understanding of Microsoft Entra (Azure AD) identity services used for authentication within applications.
  • Related certifications.
  • Prior experience in automation machinery manufacturing for the food and beverage industry specifically is a plus.
