Job Description: ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to join our team for the 2024-25 school year in Dayton, TN. As a Special Education Teacher, you will play a crucial role in creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment for students with special needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with disabilities.
- Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students' varying needs and interests.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and other professionals to create and implement effective support strategies.
- Monitor and assess students' academic and social progress.
- Provide a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Utilize a variety of instructional strategies to engage students and encourage participation.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of students' progress and development.
- Attend and participate in IEP meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and professional development sessions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related field.
- Valid state teaching certification in Special Education.
- Experience working with students with diverse learning needs.
- Strong understanding of IDEA and other relevant special education laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team of educators and support staff.
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
