Job DescriptionJob DescriptionLHH Recruitment Solutions has an opening for a Production Repack Supervisor outside of Greenwich Township NJ. The Repack Supervisor reports to the Production Manager in a food processing environment and is responsible for oversight of Repack/Scheduling personnel, food safety, daily production quotas, and adherence to all policies, procedures, and protocols within their division. They will utilize Famous ERP to create and maintain work order and track inventory through the repacking process to ensure traceability and data accuracy. Must keep open communication with customers to address any issues and ensure final product meets expectations.
Must be Bilingual English/Spanish, Hours are M-Friday starting at 5:30am, Saturdays during busy season through November.
Salary range: $70,000.00 - $95,000

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • The Repack/Scheduling Supervisor KPI’s include and are not limited to the following metrics:
  1. Ensure correct allocation of packaging materials used on work orders, check for data entry errors by line leads.
  2. End of day checks in Famous to verify input and output accuracy on production runs.
  3. Check system for production overages or partial pallets and ensure they are completed on subsequent runs.
  4. Monitor pack out percentages to ensure they match expectations and quality reports. Investigate discrepancies, make corrections and/or notify customer or commodity managers.
  5. Confirm that all finished work orders are properly completed and finalized in Famous at the end of each day.
  • Responsible for Repack/Scheduling teams’ assignment of bulk inventory to Work Orders and usage by FIFO (oldest fruit used first) or customer’s recommendations.
  • Check Famous daily to ensure product leaving the repack area (both bulk pallets not used for production and repacked pallets) are put away in designated warehouse locations. Advise Production and Warehouse Managers of potential missing pallets.
  • Assure production schedules and quotas are met daily. Customer must be notified of any failures along with corrective action.
  • Ensure strict compliance with customer specifications, FDA/USDA food safety regulations, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
  • Oversee production data entry into Famous by managing yields, material usage, etc. on Work Orders and making proper adjustments in system to match.
  • Cross reference and verify information submitted by Line Leads is accurately reflected in Famous (Pallet input/output, Output tags, Material usage, etc.)
  • Ensure the production team has correct labels staged (box and PTI) for same or next day production runs; Verify information on label matches customer specs on the Work Orders.
  • Communicate with Sales team and customers on order progress and fulfilment.
  • Communicate with Production regarding any additions or changes in scheduling. 
  • Participate in any customer, government organization, or corporate food safety audits (especially regarding Repack traceability).
  • Encourage and support a work culture of continuous improvement and employee safety.
  • Adjust work hours to the needs of the business during busy seasons, as needed, to include weekends.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Three (3) years Supervisory experience in a food processing facility.
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Fluency in written and spoken English and Spanish.
  • Understanding of safety guidelines and strict adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Knowledge of Outlook, Microsoft Office suite, Warehouse Management System (WMS), and Famous operating system (a plus).
  • Excellent math skills (must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide)
  • Highly developed critical thinking/problem solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work, develop and maintain ongoing relationships with different levels of Management within the organization.
  • Weekends required as needed.


This posting is a representative sample of the types of roles we typically place with our clients. Depending on the specific client, location, and role, the hourly pay range is estimated to be $70,000.00 - $95,000, and benefits may include medical, dental, vision, 401k +match and PTO.
