Ledgent is partnering with a leading biotech firm located in NW Denver on a search for a Senior Accountant. This is a great opportunity to join a growing team at an industry leader

Senior Accountant responsibilities include:

  • Manage month-end processes to deliver accurate and timely financial reports.
  • Perform detailed analyses for month-end close, quarterly reporting, year-end financials, and rolling forecasts to support strategic decision-making.
  • Handle month-end close tasks, including reconciling accounts, reviewing inventory and project data, and making necessary accruals and adjustments.
  • Oversee daily accounts payable/receivable, banking processes, and payments.
  • Serve as a key liaison during audits, providing required documentation and support to external auditors.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and manage all tax-related filings and reporting.
  • Review Concur expense reports for accuracy and alignment with company policies.
  • Lead compliance efforts related to the Sunshine Act, ensuring requirements are consistently met.
  • Take initiative on assigned projects, demonstrating accountability and a high level of attention to detail.
  • Conduct in-depth research on accounting and tax issues, staying informed about industry best practices and regulatory updates.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and foster a positive, team-oriented work environment.
  • Proactively identify and address challenges, providing solutions to improve processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • At least 3 years of accounting experience, ideally within the medical device or healthcare sector.
  • Solid understanding of tax laws, GAAP, and IFRS.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
  • Willingness to travel domestically or internationally 2-5 times annually.
  • Adaptable, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Service-oriented mindset and a positive, can-do attitude.
