Leasing Specialist

**Job Description:**
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Leasing Agent to join our property management team in the scenic Hudson Valley area. As a Leasing Agent, you will play a key role in driving the leasing process, ensuring our residents have an outstanding experience while maximizing occupancy for the properties we manage. You will be the primary point of contact for prospective tenants, guiding them through the leasing process from initial inquiry to move-in.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- **Property Showings:** Conduct in-person and virtual tours of available properties, highlighting features, amenities, and the benefits of the location.
- **Lead Management:** Respond to inquiries from prospective tenants via phone, email, and online platforms, providing detailed information about available units.
- **Lease Administration:** Prepare and execute lease agreements, ensuring compliance with local laws and company policies.
- **Tenant Relations:** Build and maintain strong relationships with tenants, answering questions, resolving concerns, and providing exceptional customer service.
- **Market Properties:** Assist in the creation of marketing materials, online listings, and promotions to attract potential tenants.
- **Rent Collection:** Assist with the timely collection of application fees, deposits, and rents, and help with renewals of existing tenants.
- **Applicant Screening:** Conduct background checks, credit assessments, and verify references to ensure applicants meet the qualifications for leasing.
- **Property Maintenance:** Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure properties are in top condition and that tenant issues are addressed promptly.
- **Market Research:** Stay up-to-date with rental rates and trends in the Hudson Valley market to ensure competitive pricing for available units.
- **Administrative Duties:** Maintain accurate records of all interactions with prospective tenants and completed leasing paperwork.
**Qualifications:**
- High school diploma or equivalent (College degree or equivalent experience preferred).
- Previous leasing or customer service experience is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of the Hudson Valley rental market is preferred.
- Familiarity with property management software (e.g., Yardi, AppFolio) is a plus.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
