Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Production Technician responsible for inspecting, managing, and maintaining parts and equipment within our manufacturing process. The role involves various tasks including visual inspection, documentation, masking, blasting, and operating machinery under supervision. You will also be involved in training entry-level technicians and managing inventory.

Qualifications
  • Visually inspect serial numbers and part condition to verify acceptability.
  • Interpret findings from inspection documentation and follow established procedures.
  • Track and manage tooling and consumable inventories.
  • Perform liquid and tape masking on components using various tools and equipment.
  • Conduct manual and robotic pre-process grit blasting for thermal spray on components.
  • Utilize precision measuring equipment to check work and record data electronically.
  • Perform in-process inspections of your own work and the work of others.
  • Operate controls on atmospheric and vacuum furnaces under supervision.
  • Assist operators in setting up equipment and maintaining tooling.
  • Operate small cranes and forklifts to move equipment, parts, and materials.
  • Enter and confirm quality documentation data.
  • Report and monitor abnormal production times per production step.
  • Independently carry out assigned technician work and correct non-conforming hardware.
  • Train entry-level technicians in coating prep, braze, and heat treatment.
  • Set up and install brazing equipment according to process requirements.
  • Execute brazing requirements on gas turbine components as per technical specifications.
  • Grind and blast components for braze preparation according to specifications.
  • Advise and participate in the design and fabrication of brazing tools and fixtures.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 2+ years of manufacturing experience with skills in grinding, blending coatings, coatings application, coatings removal, blasting, heat treat, machining, or welding.
  • 2+ years of experience interpreting technical drawings or work instructions.
  • 2+ years of experience in a production or maintenance environment.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing processes.
  • Basic knowledge of MS Office programs, SAP, timekeeping applications, and folder structures.
Additional Qualifications
  • 6 months of sandblasting experience.
  • Experience with painting and coating.
  • Mechanical inclination and willingness to work with hand and power tools.
  • Experience in manufacturing, assembly, auto body repairs, fiberglass, woodworking, and spray booth operation.
Work Environment

This role operates within a very organized and clean manufacturing facility with air conditioning. Steel toe safety shoes are required, providing impact/compression, electrical hazard, and static dissipative protection. You will rotate between different departments to gain various skills. The first shift runs from 5:30am to 4:00pm and is more mechanically inclined. The second shift runs from 3:00pm to 1:30am and focuses more on blasting work.

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.20
