Contract Private Duty Registered Nurse
ProCare Therapy isworking with a school district located in Derry, NH that is looking to hire a Registered Nurseas a 1:1 school nurse for the 2024-2025 school year withthe opportunity to to renew for the following school year.
The selected candidate will be hired on as a full time contracted employee through ProCare Therapy. A full school year contract will be awarded for you to complete. While undergoing your assignment, you will be provided with: competitive compensation, weekly paychecks, and superior healthcare benefits through United Healthcare
Caseload details:
- Full time: 32.5 - 35 hours per week
- Hours: 7:30am- 3:00 pm
- Monday - Friday
- Experience providing trach care required
- RN willbe required to ride the bus in the mornings and afternoon with student
- Nurse will be responsible for providing 1:1medical care to assigned student throughout the school day
- Responsibilities may include: trach care, wheelchair assistance, seizure care/monitoring,medication administration and classroom assistance
Essential Duties:
- Provide health assessments and screenings for students
- Administer medication and medical treatments according to physician orders and school policies
- Develop and implement individualized health care plans for students with chronic health conditions
- Respond to medical emergencies and provide first aid as needed
- Collaborate with school administrators, teachers, and support staff to create a safe and healthy school environment
- Communicate with parents/guardians regarding student health concerns and medical needs
- Maintain accurate health records and documentation
- Participate in school health education initiatives and wellness programs
Requirements:
- Active RN licensein New Hampshire
- Bachelors of Science Degree in Nursing
- CPR & BLS certified
- Previous pediatric or school nursing experience is preferred
- Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check
