Position Overview:
We are seeking an Attorney who can provide quality legal services to our large, diverse client base. Our ideal candidate will work passionately and effectively alongside our senior attorney and staff to ensure a successful outcome for clients. Responsibilities:

  • Handle client meetings, court hearings, mediations, and trials (first chair experience not required but desirable)
  • Manage dedicated staff and docket of diverse civil litigation cases with emphasis on employment law matters.
  • Ability to handle complex litigation matters from beginning to end.
  • Conduct legal research, prepare for and attend hearings and/or other legal proceedings, and provide legal counsel with the help of senior associate attorneys.
  • Review client issues on legal matters, analyze available options, and diligently work to determine the best course of action.
  • Organize and maintain files to ensure accuracy for other attorneys, paralegals, and staff.
  • Resolve cases efficiently by communicating effectively with and working alongside senior attorneys and paralegals.
  • Prepare correspondence and legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, briefs, affidavits, motions, and settlement agreements for contract negotiations and proceedings.
  • Counsel clients by assessing options and determining the best course of action for a successful outcome.

Qualifications:

  • 3 + years of litigation experience.
  • Working knowledge of state and federal rules of civil procedure and evidence.
  • Experience handling written discovery, motions, hearings, and depositions.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication skills and problem-solving skills are necessary to work with all levels of staff and clients.
  • Member in good standing and actively involved with the ABA (American Bar Association).
  • Candidates must have passed the bar exam.
  • Ability to work with our senior attorney to best serve client needs and grow our client base.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office is required.
  • Strong knowledge of legal research programs such as Westlaw and Lexis products is required.
  • Able to work independently while handling multiple files.
