Job Description

We are seeking dedicated and skilled Fabrication Operators and Fabrication Operator Trainees for 1st Shift at our Souderton, PA location. You will coordinate all activities required to lay out work, set up appropriate machines or equipment, and meet or exceed fabrication and customer requirements according to design specifications and published schedules.

Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate fabrication machinery according to design specifications and schedules.
  • Read, analyze, interpret, and comprehend written and verbal instructions including blueprints and basic correspondence.
  • Troubleshoot machine problems and perform preventative maintenance.
  • Efficiently utilize resources to minimize scrap, materials, and labor.
Essential Skills
  • Proficiency in saw operation, drill press, and bandsaw.
  • Experience in machine set up and operation.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Skills in sheet metal fabrication, shear, punch press, and press brake.
  • Competence in using micrometers, tape measures, and calipers.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • High school diploma required.

Work Environment

This is a 1st Shift position with hours from 6:30am to 3:00pm. The shop opens at 5am for overtime opportunities. This role is based in a sheet metal fabrication shop that is not temperature controlled.
