Position: Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) Teacher
Location: Warminster, Pennsylvania
Employment Type: Full-Time
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (possibly up to 40)
Job Details:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) Teacher to join our team for the 2024/2025 school year. This full-time position involves working with a K-12 itinerant caseload, serving as the sole DHH teacher in the school district (with the potential for a second hire closer to August/September). The homebase or office setting for our teacher will be located at the district office. This position requires onsite presence only.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction and support to DHH students across K-12 grades.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for each student.
- Collaborate with school staff, parents, and external professionals to support student needs.
- Assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to student progress and services provided.
Qualifications:
- Must hold a valid teaching license with certification in Deaf Education or Hearing Impairment.
- Experience working with DHH students, preferably in a school setting.
- Knowledge of best practices and methodologies in Deaf Education.
- Strong munication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
