Sunbelt Staffing is looking for a skilled Medical-Surgical Step-Down Nurse to join our team for a 13-week contract in Rochester, NY. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a top-notch healthcare organization while experiencing the vibrant culture of Upstate New York.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care, including assessment, monitoring, and administration of medications, to individuals in the Stepdown unit.
  • Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
  • Monitor patients', vital signs, and telemetry readings, and promptly respond to any changes or abnormalities.
  • Assist in the management of post-operative patients, including wound care, pain management, and patient education.
  • Document patient information accurately and maintain detailed records.

Requirements:

  • Valid RN license in the state of New York.
  • Minimum of two years of recent, related experience as a Stepdown RN.
  • Proficient in telemetry interpretation, and administering cardiac medications.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
  • BLS,ACLS, NIHSS certifications are required.
