ProCare Therapy is currently seeking passionate and dedicated School Counselor to join our team in New Orleans, LA. As a Counselor, you will play a crucial role in providing quality education and support to students with diverse learning needs.
Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and group counseling
  • Case management
  • Crisis intervention *when needed
  • Conductevaluations
  • Document and monitor all data
  • Facilitate IEP processes
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary staff
  • Provide consultation services with parents and staff members
Details:
  • Full-time; 32hours/weekly
  • K-12 caseload

Requirements:

  • Active LA School Counselor or Professional Counselorlicense
  • Experience working with students with diverse learning needs, including but not limited to autism spectrum disorder, developmental delays, and behavioral challenges.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to adapt instruction to meet the individual needs of each student.
  • Patience, empathy, and a passion for working with students with special needs.
