We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our school-based team in Merrillville, IL. In this role, you will provide prehensive speech and language services to students with munication disorders, supporting their academic success and overall development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine students' speech and language needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student's goals and objectives.
  • Provide direct therapy services to students in both individual and group settings, focusing on enhancing munication skills, speech articulation, fluency, and language development.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to integrate speech and language strategies into the classroom.
  • Monitor and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure effective outes.
  • Educate staff and families about speech and language development and support strategies to enhance munication skills at home and in school.
  • Participate in team meetings and professional development activities to stay current with best practices in speech-language pathology.

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Valid Illinois State License and ASHA Certificate of Clinical petence (CCC-SLP) or eligibility for licensure.
  • Experience working in a school setting is preferred but not required; new graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Excellent munication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
