Work Hours: Monday - Friday | 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM

About the Role:
ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated and skilled Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team for the 2024-2025 school year In this full-time position, you will work onsite with a diverse group of students ages 3-22, providing vital services that help them reach their educational and developmental goals. With a manageable caseload of approximately 90 students, and the support of a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), youll have the opportunity to make a lasting impact across various needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments for students with a range of conditions including learning disabilities, orthopedic impairments, cognitive impairments, Down syndrome, and autism.
  • Develop individualized therapy plans and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to tailor interventions that promote student success in both academic and functional skills.
  • Prepare detailed progress reports and monitor student improvements toward their goals.
  • Participate in ARD (Admission, Review, and Dismissal) meetings to create, modify, and evaluate goals and objectives within each students Individualized Education Plan (IEP).
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other staff to ensure the best possible outcomes for students.
  • Work closely with a COTA who will assist in carrying out therapy plans and provide additional support to meet student needs.

Student Caseload:

  • Ages: 3 to 22 years old
  • Caseload Size: Approx. 90 students
  • Primary Needs: Learning disabilities, orthopedic impairments, cognitive impairments, Down syndrome, and autism.

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Current state OT licensure (or ability to obtain before start date).
  • Previous experience working with students with a range of disabilities preferred.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with staff and families.
