(PT or PTA) Physical Therapist With Benefits School Based Role (K-12) FT or PT -Grayslake, IL Area

Key Responsibilities:

For PT:

  • Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate students' physical strengths and areas for improvement
  • Design and oversee customized therapy plans to enhance students' mobility, coordination, and overall physical function
  • Provide hands-on physical therapy, guiding students towards achieving their individual goals
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure holistic student care
  • Participate in IEP meetings, contributing expert advice on physical therapy needs and strategies

For PTA:

  • Assist the PT in delivering therapy sessions based on the individualized treatment plans
  • Work one-on-one or in small groups with students to support their physical development
  • Monitor and document student progress, providing regular feedback to the PT
  • Prepare and modify therapy activities to align with each student's specific needs
  • Collaborate with the PT, educators, and families to ensure comprehensive support for student success

Qualifications:

  • For PT: Must be a licensed Physical Therapist
  • For PTA: Certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant is required
  • Experience in a school environment is preferred for both roles
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential
  • A commitment to fostering students' physical growth and development is vital
