Soliant Education is on the lookout for a dedicated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our team in the Woodbridge, VA region. This is a full-time, full-year role that provides a valuable chance to positively impact students' educational experiences in a school setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to deliver speech and language therapy services.
  • Execute therapy plans prepared by the SLP, including conducting both individual and group sessions.
  • Track and record students' progress and provide detailed reports to the SLP.
  • Help create and prepare instructional materials and activities.
  • Assist students in improving their communication skills within classroom and individual settings.
  • Work closely with teachers, parents, and school staff to ensure a coordinated approach to student support.
  • Maintain confidential and accurate records as per school and district guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree or equivalent in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Disorders, or a related field.
  • Valid SLPA license in the state of Virginia.
  • Experience in a school environment is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team as well as independently.
  • Strong dedication to providing high-quality support for students.

Contract Information:

  • Hourly Wage: Competitive, based on your experience and credentials.
  • Contract Duration: Full year, aligning with the academic calendar.
  • Work Hours: Full-time, Monday through Friday, following the school schedule.
