Job Type: Part-Time or Full-Time

Description:
ProCare Therapy is looking for an Orientation and Mobility Specialist to providemobility training to individuals of all ages with visual impairments. This role involves teaching safe travel techniques, including street crossing, public transit use, and route planning.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one mobility training to individuals in various community settings.
  • Conduct needs assessments and develop personalized training plans.
  • Offer instruction on public transportation, orientation to new environments, and independent travel.
  • Communicate regularly with family members and caregivers to ensure continuity of training.

Qualifications:

  • COMS certification required.
  • Prior experience in community-based O&M services.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
