Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are searching for a Controller to join our team in Plano, Texas. The role involves managing financial processes in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles, with a particular focus on SaaS revenue recognition. This position is offered as a short term contract opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the monthly financial close process, ensuring adherence to guidelines, particularly in relation to SaaS revenue recognition principles
• Manage cash flow functions and assist with payables and receivables processes
• Record routine entries including prepaid expensing, fixed asset tracking/depreciation, accruals
• Review and calculate entries according to deferral/amortization guidance
• Record payroll and benefits-related expenses/accruals for global employees
• Advise on best practices and optimizations throughout accounting processes
• Respond to ad-hoc requests as needed
• Oversee intercompany eliminations and foreign exchange processes
• Ensure the accurate recording and management of financial reporting and consolidations• Possess a minimum of 7 years of experience in a Controller role or a similar position
• Demonstrable skills in SaaS platforms for financial management
• Proficiency in using NetSuite for accounting and financial processes
• Experience in managing Monthly Close processes in a timely and accurate manner
• Knowledge in the management of Deferred Revenue and its impact on financial statements
• Familiarity with SOX - Sarbanes-Oxley compliance requirements and procedures
• Experience in using HubSpot or similar CRM platforms for customer management and data analysis
• Strong communication skills to interact with various stakeholders
• Proven ability in managing and leading a team
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification would be an advantage
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
