Position Overview:

  • Job Title: Intervention Specialist
  • Location: Cincinnati, OH
  • Employment Type: Full-Time, Onsite, Monday through Friday
  • Work Environment: Supportive, inclusive, and collaborative educational setting focused on student achievement and growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.
  • Utilize diverse instructional strategies to support students with various learning disabilities and developmental needs.
  • Assess students' academic performance and progress, modifying teaching strategies to meet each learners needs.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers and other specialists to create a comprehensive educational experience.
  • Provide behavior support and interventions to ensure a positive learning environment for all students.
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress and any adjustments to interventions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education, Education, or a related field.
  • Valid Ohio teaching certification with specialization in Intervention or Special Education.
  • Previous experience working with students with learning disabilities, emotional disturbances, or developmental delays is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of special education laws and regulations, including IEP development and implementation.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships with students, families, and staff.
