Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are in search of an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team based in ANKENY, Iowa. This role revolves around managing customer accounts, processing credit applications, and maintaining accurate records in our finance department.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the setup of new customer accounts and verify credit.
• Manage customer account receivables and ensure accurate record-keeping.
• Handle the posting of accounts receivable receipts and collections.
• Conduct audits of General Ledger postings and prepare relevant reports.
• Provide thorough research to resolve customer payment queries.
• Prepare and reconcile sales tax and use tax reports.
• Verify accuracy of receivables and petty cash at fiscal month-end.
• Prepare banking and credit card reports and perform reconciliations.
• Execute various administrative tasks including filing and document handling.
• Act as a backup in answering incoming calls, directing inquiries, and assisting walk-in customers.
• Assist in maintaining the company website and addressing customer inquiries and credits.• Proficient in Account Reconciliation, demonstrating the ability to match up and balance financial records accurately.
• Demonstrable experience with Accounts Receivable (AR) processes, including invoicing, collections, and reporting.
• Proven expertise in Billing procedures, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing.
• Skilled in Cash Applications, applying payments correctly to customer accounts.
• Experience in Cash Collections, showing the ability to effectively recover owed funds.
• Familiarity with Commercial Collections, including knowledge of related laws and practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions for financial analysis and reporting.
• Experience with SAP software, particularly within a financial or accounting context.
