Employment Type: Full-time

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of students? Join our team in Longmeadow, MA, as an Instructional Assistant where your support students who are deaf/hard of hearing.

What Youll Do:
  • Assist in implementing developmental play, academic, behavioral, social, pre-vocational, vocational, self-help skills, and academic tutoring.
  • Providing real-time ASL interpretation to help students understand classroom instruction, discussions, and social interactions.
  • Assisting students with classwork, helping them understand instructions, and sometimes adapting materials to be more accessible.
  • Helping with general classroom activities, behavior management, and ensuring students' physical safety as needed.
  • Facilitate the students learning throughout the campus environment.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma.
  • Fluent American Sign Language.
  • Comfortable utilizing a total communication approach.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
