Job Description

We are looking for a diligent Maintenance Technician to perform repairs and maintenance necessary to maintain production at target efficiencies. The ideal candidate will troubleshoot and repair production and plant equipment, develop and perform preventive maintenance tasks, and maintain a clean and safe work environment. This role requires a high level of mental alertness and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and maintenance to maintain production efficiencies.
• Troubleshoot and repair production and plant equipment.
• Develop, modify, perform, and record preventive maintenance tasks.
• Perform preventive maintenance, repair, and adjustment of packaging, palletizing, and other equipment.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Conduct building maintenance such as lamping, minor plumbing, and fire protection systems.
• Service, install, and repair CNC and manual machinery.

Essential Skills

• Previous maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Technical knowledge of production-related equipment.
• Skills in electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and welding.
• Ability to fabricate parts.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical manuals (mechanical and electrical).
• Experience with machinist measuring tools.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to work accurately, thoroughly, and meet deadlines.
• Willingness to work overtime, holidays, and weekends as needed.
• Electric certification or a minimum of two years of experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical education is a plus.
• 5-10 years of experience in an industrial maintenance position.
• Familiarity with product application.
• Experience with Lockout Tagout procedures.
• Forklift and scissor lift experience.
• Highly alert and self-motivated individual.

Work Environment

The work environment is climate-controlled and well-lit, with a focus on manufacturing doors. The position operates on the 1st shift from 4:30 AM to 2:30 PM, with work required every other Saturday from 5:00 AM to 9:00 AM. The facility emphasizes safety and cleanliness.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lawrenceville, Georgia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $32.00
