Are you a passionate Special Education Teacher eager to support high school students? ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated educator to join a thriving school community in Staten Island, NY, where you can make a meaningful difference in the academic and personal growth of your students.

Position Overview

  • Location: Staten Island, NY
  • Grade Level: High School (Grades 9-12)
  • Schedule:
    • Monday - Thursday: 7:55 AM - 3:40 PM
    • Friday: 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM
  • Start Date: ASAP

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to students' specific needs.
  • Provide engaging instruction that promotes academic, social, and behavioral growth.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure an inclusive classroom environment.
  • Monitor student progress and make data-driven adjustments to teaching strategies.
  • Foster a structured, supportive learning space that encourages student independence and confidence.

Qualifications

  • Valid New York State Special Education Teaching Licensure.
  • Experience working with high school students is preferred.
  • Strong skills in collaboration, communication, and classroom management.
