THE DAY TO DAY:

  • $28 to 32/hr is the starting rate, depending on experience
  • MUST BE OK WORKING WEEKENDS WHEN NEEDED
  • 7am - 4pm OR 8am - 5pm
  • Heavy equipment mechanic or diesel mechanic
  • Perform routine PM inspections
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems
  • Perform all scheduled PM inspections of chassis, vacuum body, hydraulic, electrical, air and water systems
  • Conduct all repairs within DOT or OEM standards and service to return rental equipment "Ready to Rent" status
  • Performs and document "check in" and "check out" inspections of fleet equipment
  • Must demonstrate solid understanding of mechanical and hydraulic system and electrical troubleshooting
  • Ability to administer DOT inspections
