Part-Time Special Education Teacher (K-6)

Position: Special Education Teacher
Location: Holly Springs, NC
Start Date: Immediate
End Date: Potentially the whole school year
Hours: 25-30 hours per week
Caseload: Approximately 20-25 students
Age Group: Kindergarten to 6th Grade

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team immediately. This position is available for the remainder of the school year, with the possibility of continuation depending on the needs of the school.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students in accordance with their learning needs.
  • Provide direct instruction and support to students with a variety of disabilities.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers and staff to ensure appropriate acmodations and modifications.
  • Monitor and track student progress, adjusting strategies as needed.
  • municate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress and goals.
  • Participate in meetings, including IEP reviews, team discussions, and professional development.

Qualifications:

  • Valid teaching certification in Special Education (K-6).
  • Experience working with students with diverse learning needs.
  • Strong munication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs.
