Sr. Accountant

Robert Half is supporting the recruiting efforts of a company in the manufacturing industry to find a Senior Accountant. This is a full time, permanent position in Platteville. Responsibilities:

• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring they comply with GAAP and internal policies

• Oversee and manage cost accounting processes including standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory management for manufacturing operations

• Lead the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial projections, and provide insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making

• Maintain and improve internal controls, ensuring adherence to financial procedures, compliance with regulations, and safeguarding of company assets

• Support external audits by preparing documentation and providing detailed reports, while ensuring compliance with tax laws, regulatory requirements, and company policies

• Conduct account reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, and bank reconciliations

• Maintain the general ledger and prepare journal entries

• Utilize Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.

Keys:

• Bachelors in accounting, preferred
• 5+ years experience in accounting
