Location: Lake Villa, IL

Position Overview:
We are seeking aCertified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)for a full-time position in Lake Villa, IL. In this role, you will collaborate with a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) to implement therapy plans that help students build essential skills needed for success in both the classroom and daily life.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct occupational therapy services to students in accordance with their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Assist in the development and execution of treatment plans under the direction of the Occupational Therapist.
  • Help students improve fine motor skills, sensory processing, and adaptive skills.
  • Track and document student progress, making necessary adjustments to therapy plans as needed.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with teachers, parents, and staff to support student development.
  • Maintain a positive and engaging environment for students, encouraging their independence and growth.

Qualifications:

  • Associates degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant from an accredited program.
  • Active certification or licensure as a COTA in Illinois.
  • Experience working with children, preferably in a school or educational setting.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • A compassionate, patient, and student-focused approach.
