Virtual Bilingual School Speech-Language Pathologist

Location: Texas, United States (Virtual)
Job Type: Fulltime, Flexible Contract - Now and Next School Year
Pay: $40+/Hour

As a Virtual Bilingual School Speech-Language Pathologist, you will play a crucial role in providing speech and language therapy services to students in a virtual setting. You will work collaboratively with educators, parents, and other professionals to assess, diagnose, and treat communication disorders among bilingual students. Your primary responsibility will be to help students improve their speech, language, and communication skills, enabling them to succeed academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments to evaluate students' speech, language, and communication abilities, considering cultural and linguistic factors.
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to address students' communication disorders and challenges.
  • Provide virtual therapy sessions to students using evidence-based techniques and strategies.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other members of the student's educational team to integrate therapy goals into the overall learning plan.
  • Monitor and document students' progress, adjusting therapy plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Educate teachers, parents, and caregivers on strategies to support students' communication development in both home and school environments.
  • Stay up-to-date on current research, best practices, and regulations related to bilingual speech-language pathology.
  • Participate in virtual meetings, professional development opportunities, and team collaborations to support continuous improvement and student success.


Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Texas state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish, with the ability to provide therapy in both languages.
  • Experience working with school-aged children, preferably in a bilingual or multicultural setting.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in using virtual therapy platforms and technology for remote service delivery.
  • Commitment to cultural competence, equity, and inclusion in education and therapy practice.
